The Palace on the Castle Hill (Wzgórze Zamkowe)

It was built in the mid-seventeenth century by the bishop of Cracow, Jakub Zadzik. Currently, there is the National Museum, whose collection includes valuable paintings, artistic crafts, folk art, archaeological and natural exhibits.The stationary exhibition displays interiors from the 17th and 18th century, the Marshall Józef Piłsudski Sanctuary, the Gallery of Polish paintings and European decorative arts.

The Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Bazylika Katedralna Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Marii Panny)

It is located next to the palace on the Castle Hill (Wzgórze Zamkowe). In 1971, the church celebrated its 800th anniversary and received the title of Minor Basilica. Tourists could visit the treasury and the vaults for the first time.

The Centre of Patriotic and Civic Reflection (Ośrodek Myśli Patriotyczneji Obywatelskiej)

The multimedia Centre of Patriotic and Civic Reflection is located in the building of the former prison. It is possible to follow the footsteps of the participants of the January Uprising, the members of the Legions, or people fighting for freedom during the Second World War, as well as to trace the whole history of Poland’s striving for independence.

Institute of Design

It is located only a few steps from the Centre of Patriotic and Civic Reflection.It holds galleries and exhibitions, where it is possible to spot very interesting works.

Sienkiewicz Street (Ulica Sienkiewicza)

This is the main promenade in Kielce with the monument of the writer Henryk Sienkiewicz. It is possible to find many cafes, pubs, or restaurants there, as well as to eat some delicious ice-cream.

Bus station (Dworzec PKS)

It is located near Sienkiewicz Street. Heading towards the bus station, on the right you will see a huge spacecraft that landed in the city. The first impression is unforgettable. Interestingly, the bus station was built in 1984 and it was the most modern station in Poland at the time.

The Museum of Toys and Play (Muzeum Zabaweki Zabawy)

The Museum of Toys and Play is located near Sienkiewicz Street, on Plac Wolności. There are various toys, including those, with which our grandparents used to play as well as modern ones. It is a great fun not only for children but also for adults remembering them about their childhood.

Kadzielnia Geopark (Geopark Kadzielnia) and Moses’ Tablets (Mojżeszowe Tablice)

There were numerous fossils discovered in the geopark, including corals, cephalopods, and brachiopods, which are now under protection.It isalso possible to admire karst chimneys, depressions, and craters. Thanks to the route for organised groups, it is also possible to enter the Kadzielnia. Guides explain the ongoing processes and show things that are impossible to be seen from the outside.
